Thanks for stopping by…… ANTIQUE VICTORIAN 925 SILVER TASSLE FOB/CHARM/PENDANT for ALBERTINA WATCH CHAIN This gorgeous Victorian tassle is the longer size at 4cm with 5 foxtail chain dangles each finished with a silver ball. Although it would look fabulous as a pendant hanging from a silver chain it was originally intended as a fob for an Albert/Albertina pocket watch chain. It isn’t hallmarked but tests fully as sterling silver and obviously is. It’s in great antique condition commensurate with age. Thanks for stopping by…… ANTIQUE VICTORIAN 925 SILVER MORNING GLORY FOB/CHARM/PENDANT for WATCH CHAIN I love this fob – it is full of symbolism given that it features a Morning Glory flower which is a Victorian symbol for love, affection & mortality, although it is also supposedly linked to ‘love in vain’. Although it would look fabulous as a pendant hanging from a silver chain it was originally intended as a fob for an albertina pocket watch chain. It is stamped ’925′ on the reverse for sterling silver and tests as such. It measures 2.5cm (not including the bale) by 2.1cm and has a depth of 1.5mm. Antique J W Benson Silver Pendant-Wind Lever Pocket Watch 1918 Antique J W Benson Silver Pendant-Wind Lever Pocket Watch Birmingham 1918 Hallmarked Case Description This one of a large collection of original, vintage wristwatches, pocket watches and related items being offered for sale on eBay over the next few weeks and months. All are in original, unrestored condition and may require cosmetic and/or mechanical attention. Please see the photos above and the respective description below for individual lots. Original, antique, silver-cased pocket watch fully stamped with the Birmingham sterling silver hallmarks for 1918 and the case maker’s mark ALD for the renowned Dennison. Original pendant, bow and winder. Only light surface scratches and light surface wear to the engine-turned finish. Of substantial construction. Previous owner’s name inscribed to inside rear cover. Cosmetically excellent, original, pendant-wind, lever movement currently not in running order. The main spring is defective. The balance swings freely and the watch runs under lightly applied pressure. The winding/hand-set mechanism, although working, does not function perfectly so may need adjustment/lubrication. Ideally requires a clean/service due to years of non-use. Original white enamel dial in mint condition. Nice, blue-steel hands with subsidiary seconds. Mineral glass crystal. Fully signed to dial and movement. The watch has not been tested for run-time or accuracy of timekeeping. SIZE: 52 mm diameter, excluding pendant and bow.
